ViewletBuilder No Longer Starts

Postby Qathy » Mon May 04, 2015 9:31 am

When I try to launch ViewletBuilder, I get an 'Error: JVM could not be started. The maximum heap size (-Xmx) might be too large or an antivirus or firewall tool could block execution'. How do I fix this issue?

This occurs when you set the maximum value that ViewletBuilder can use for VM too high.

To resolve this, follow these steps:

  1. Go to: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Qarbon\ViewletBuilder8 Enterprise. (Note: The folder location will differ depending on the application you are using.)

  2. Open the launcher.vmoptions file in Notepad.
  3. Change the second value to -Xmx1000M, no higher, just to be safe.
  4. Click OK to save the file and to close Notepad.

You should now be able to launch ViewletBuilder.
