StyleBuilder is a 'style customization' tool available in ViewletBuilder8 that allows Viewlet Authors to modify many of the pre-installed object styles within their projects to match their own aesthetic or branding. Sounds exciting, huh? Well, before diving in, you should know that you will need some prerequisite skills in order to use this tool effectively:

-Viewlet Authoring, including a high comfort-level with Question Slides
-Intermediate-to-advanced eLearning design/graphic art
-Basic XML coding
-Some Notepad (or similar text editing application) experience

Does your authoring skillset encompass the above? If so, read on.

Using StyleBuilder, you can unpack installed style files, modify the XML file and/or baseline graphic elements that make up the style and pack them back up for access when working in your Viewlet project.

Check out the video at the end of this post before you get started. It will show you an example of using StyleBuilder to modify the font size used in a text field for Question Slides. After you grasp these basics, you will have a solid foundation to start using StyleBuilder on your own. Good luck!

That's it for this blog.
