Art is a fundamental expression of human creative skill and imagination, typically in some sort of visual form. An artist draws the audience into their work, evoking response and (hopefully) a memorable experience. Composica developers, take a lesson from this. Learn how to breathe life into your eLearning courses through the integration of Text Art.

What is Text Art? In Composica, Text Art is a feature that allows you to 'modify' the text in an artistic way. This includes the ability to transform basic text by designing/applying attributes such as:

  • Paths (horizontal, vertical, arcs, waves, diagonals)
  • Fills (type, color, opacity, gradients, images)
  • Outlines (color, width)
  • Shadows (color, opacity, x/y offsets)

Access to this feature is found in the Design View along the Insert ribbon. Look for the Text Art icon, click it and select the basic form you want to start with and then, with it selected, use the Properties Pane to modify your Text Art in the Text, Layout and Settings tabs.

As with any art, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To keep your learner's 'eye' focused on your content, draw them in with appropriately designed Text Art, but don't overdo it!

That's it for this blog.

Until next time...
Happy Viewleting!
