An Inside ‘Take’ on All Things Viewlet

Are you all thumbs when it comes to texting? Well, you won't be as a Viewlet Author while crafting eLearning content using Qarbon authoring apps. Of course, you know you can blend text seamlessly against Viewlet slide backgrounds using ViewletBuilder7 and ViewletQuiz4 slide text objects. But, did you know there is another little gem that will help you to create slide text designs that literally jump off the slide? Let me explain.

The feature is called 'Shadow Properties'. Now, you may have already seen this option while working in ViewletBuilder7 or ViewletQuiz4. If not, the next time you select an object such as a shape, image, or text object, check for an 'S' icon along the second level Context Sensitive toolbar. Click it to open the 'Shadow Properties' dialog window. In there, you can play around with different settings for the shadow effect such as: left and top offsets, blur radius, opacity and even the color of the shadow itself. Best of all, you can click the 'Apply' button to view results without ever leaving this dialog window. If you don't like what you see, make your adjustments and 'Apply' again until you achieve your intended visuals. Once done, click 'OK' to save final changes.

Shadow properties are a great way to create imaginative designs with slide text. Take a few moments to watch a video on Enhancing Slide Text with Shadow Properties now. After you hone this new skill, let your creative juices flow in all your Viewlet projects.

That's it for this blog.

Until next time...
Happy Viewleting!
