An Inside ‘Take’ on All Things Viewlet

Qarbon offers many solutions to Viewlet Authors for developing effective e-Learning videos. The most popular, of course, would be either ViewletBuilder or ViewletQuiz. Another tool offered by Qarbon that is quickly gaining a niche among our clients is Composica Enterprise.

Composica is a web-based, e-Learning authoring system featuring a WYSIWYG authoring environment, so no
programming is needed to create interactive e-learning content. Content providers, authors, graphic designers, SMEs, reviewers, etc. collaborate using Composica's groupware authoring environment with project team management tools to control courseware creation (start-to-finish).

Learn more about Composica.

Composica's content authors leverage many features while building effective courseware, including Composica's reusable learning objects (RLOs)--signficantly improving efficiencies by shortening development time. Among these RLOs are reusable document templates known as Widgets--the focus of this blog.

In Composica, the 'Widgets' feature gives you the ability to create template document configurations. A simple Widget may contain one or two elements while a more complex Widget may contain an entire document page layout (including all content, formatting and properties).

Once created, a Widget can be quickly applied to document pages in your Composica course in just a few clicks. Once applied, a Widget is fully modifiable. The best part--Widgets can be reused again and again and again.

Well, that's it for now. Check out future blogs for more Composica discussions.

Until next time...
Happy Viewleting!
