Unable to view SWF file

Postby Tim » Mon Jun 12, 2006 11:52 am

I have created a .VCP file from a PowerPoint presentation .
The file itself is quite large (1037 frames) and is about 600MB in
size. When I attempt to export this file to a .SWF file ViewletCam
compresses the file, then opens a browser window that shows it is attempting to open an HTML file associated with my project. The status bar in the browser window moves very slowly and when it gets about half way complete it appears to stop altogether. I have re-tried several times but it always seems to stop half way and the .SWF file never gets created.

Workaround - I did two things that made this work:

1. Convert .AVI to .WMV using the MS Media Encoder version 9

2. Reduce the movie (screen) size from 1024 x 768 to 800 x 600

The combination of these two things cut the number of overall frames
from 1037 to 185 !

The size of the project file went from 600 + MB down to 27 MB.

I was able to create the .SWF file in a little over 15 seconds. Huge
