Font Kerning not quite right in Bold after Italic text

Postby lonniev » Tue Jan 29, 2008 4:53 pm

In a Shape (Bubble, Note, etc) if you immediately follow an italicized word with a bold word, like this, the spacing between the last letter of the italicized word and the first letter of the bolded word is just a wee bit too close. The result looks like the space was forgotten: likethis. One has to doublespace to visually correct the display. Larger font sizes may not have this problem; this was for Font 12, Face Dialog.

I see what you mean about the kerning. I'll enter an case in our issue tracking system to investigate this.

Ran across this bug report while doing a little housekeeping. It appears this is no longer an issue. The words appeared closer than desired in ViewletBuilder6, but kerning seems to be OK in both ViewletBuilder7 and later. The attached screenshot was made (left to right) with production releases of ViewletBuilder6, ViewletBuilder7 and a development version of ViewletBuilder8.
