ViewletCam Stops Recording Audio

Postby Mitchell Herman » Fri May 01, 2009 1:43 pm

I am having the problem that ViewletCam will stop recording audio after a minute or two of recording a video. Also, when I try to merge videos, the resulting video will not play all the videos. I made one by merging five videos (had to do it this way due to the audio recording problems) and the resulting video will stop after the third video.

Please advise.

Actually, I was forced to upgrade to Vcam2 as the old videos I'd made with Vcam1 would no longer play, so, it is indeed Vcam2.

James,

My primary issue is that the sound recording stops. How do I fix this issue?

Mitchell,

Since I've never heard of that happening before...I don't a solution for you. We can only try to reproduce on our
end. Can you provide exact steps to reproduce?

Are you using the latest build too? (x175)

Well, as to reproducing, I just record a video, nothing special. I have ver 0170. Where would I download latest version?

Reinstalling solved the problem for a while, but now it is happening again. Any other ideas?

Mitchell,

One of our support folks said it could be a drain on your resources, so they said to turn down the hardware acceleration inside
VCam2. They also mentioned that RealPlayer should be turned off too as they saw one case before that was resolved by
closing this program.

How does one "turn down the hardware acceleration inside
VCam2"? I am not running RealPlayer and do not know anyone who still does these days.
