File Size: How big is to big ...

Postby Xaverian » Wed Mar 14, 2007 8:20 am

Hello All ...

What size presentation is too big for distribution on a web page? I want to stream my presentation from a web page and really haven’t found any guidelines as to what is an acceptable file size to display on a web page.

Also at what point is it recommended for starting the presentation when using a loader, 20% loaded, 30% loaded, 40% loaded, or ???

Thanks in advance for any replies,

%xx loaded means after load xx%, the movie will start.

If the visiting speed is low, download speed cannot catch up with the playing speed, so after play xx%, the movie will be paused.

The majority of people today have DSL, depending on how large the output SWF file...the more you adjust the %.
