Viewlet Quiz - Flashpaper

Postby Fre.mantle » Sun Sep 23, 2012 2:56 am

I am using version 2.0.10 build 1223 of Viewlet Quiz.

I am trying to insert a swf flash file as a movie.

It wont let me because it says that the file is not a video file. That is true.

It was a 10 page MS Word file converted to a swf file from the company called Print2Flash.

If these types of swf don't work with this version of viewlet, does the current version allow me to insert swf files as movies (from non video based swf files) or swf files as images.

I can provide a sample file should you need to.

Hello,

The format of this SWF is AS3 which is not fully supported. If you can save to AS2 format it should work.

I have tried the flash2print and it says that it transcodes it to AS2, but i still cant insert into Qarbon.

Do you think that you will put AS2 support in later versions

The SWF created by this company produces a file that has 0 time which is unusual and won't work for a timeline based application. We will add a fix to allow these to be accepted. This fix will go into ViewletQuiz4.

Re: Viewlet Quiz - Flashpaper / flash2paper

This may sound strange - but i am working on this from both ends.

print2flash is a company whose print to swf i am testing. I thought their flash product could also be buggy.

They said -(print2flash)

We tried to import Print2Flash documents into a Viewlet Quiz project but did not experience such an error message. We used a trial version of Viewlet Quiz 4.2.21. Could you send us an example Viewlet Quiz project and a Print2Flash / f document with which you experience this problem so that we can investigate it? I did however tell them that i was using version 2, but hey a little progress is good.

Does that mean you have already done the fix.

What i need is a Viewlet quiz that will allow me to embed multipage or single page text doucuments within a swf. I am ready to buy version 4.? if that facility is in it now, great.

Upload was created with print2flash

I would ask them if they published to Flash or not because it inserts fine, you just get the error during compile.
